‘2023 3rd IYAC New York Youth Art Competition and Winners’ Exhibition’ Concluded Successfully

The 2023 3rd IYAC New York Youth Art Competition and Winners’ Exhibition has garnered attention. MySlide Corp. successfully hosted the competition and exhibition in collaboration with the GSEF Foundation (USA), Space 776 Gallery (New York), New Jersey State Senator, and the Mayor of Palisades Park.
The participating youth artists submitted diverse works under the theme of ‘Change and Adaptation’. The selected artworks were showcased at an offline exhibition held at Space 776 Gallery in New York from October 17th to 23rd, providing valuable exhibition experience to the participants.
Outstanding participants were awarded the New Jersey State Senator’s Award and the Mayor of Palisades Park Award, granting them honor and opportunities to grow as exceptional artists.
Professor Choi Soo-hee from Hongik University, artist Lee Bora, and artist Kim Seung-hyun were appointed as judges for the competition, and each evaluated the submissions thoroughly based on their extensive experience and knowledge in their respective fields of art.
The winning works were selected for their exploration of the processes and outcomes of change, offering new perspectives and ideas on personal, social, and environmental change through artistic creativity.
A representative from MySlide Corp., the organizer of the exhibition, stated, "The 2023 3rd IYAC New York Youth Art Competition successfully heightened participants' awareness of social issues through creative works. This event emphasized the power of art and the value of communication, enabling the sharing of diverse perspectives and opinions through art." They added, "This competition and exhibition will be remembered as a significant event that conveys social messages and respects diversity and creativity through the power of art."
The Winners’ Exhibition, featuring 42 selected works, creatively and uniquely expressed the concepts of change and adaptation from the perspective of youth. Although the works were centered around the same theme, each displayed its own unique color and atmosphere, offering a valuable opportunity to understand how young people perceive and interpret change and adaptation in their journey toward a new era.
The exhibition received strong support from those interested in youth art and culture. The reception performance, featuring violin and viola, provided a fitting conclusion to the event and offered participants and visitors a memorable experience.
