About the Event
2023 3rd IYAC New York Youth Art Competition aims to provide young artists with a platform to express their thoughts through various forms of art, experiencing the diversity of communication as integral members of society. Hosted by MySLide Corp. and in association with GSEF Foundation, Space 776 Gallery (New York), and supported by Gordon M. Johnson, a New Jersey State Senator, and Chong Paul Kim, the Mayor of Palisades Park, this competition encourages youth to explore and showcase their creativity.
Selected artworks from the first round will have the opportunity to participate in an offline exhibition hosted at Space 776 Gallery (New York). In the final round, five outstanding works will be awarded the 'Winner' title, receiving the New Jersey State Senator's Award, while another five will be awarded the 'Gold Medal,' (Selected 5 awardees) receiving the Mayor of Palisades Park's Award.

Johnson, a New Jersey State Senator, and Chong Paul Kim, the Mayor of Palisades Park, this competition encourages youth to explore and showcase their creativity.

Space 776 Gallery is located in the heart of Chelsea, New York and offers an excellent collection of contemporary art. It showcases new and established artists working in a variety of mediums, from live multimedia performance art to traditional oil paintings. The gallery accepts artists from around the world whose work has been showcased at local and international art fairs such as Volta New York, Volta Basel, Art Miami, Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary, and Art Busan. Artist and director Lee Jong-won opened Space2013 in Bushwick, Brooklyn in 1977. In 2020, the gallery moved to its current residence at 37-39 Clinton Street in Manhattan's Lower East Side. Space 776 also opened a location in Seoul, South Korea in 2020, in line with the gallery's mission to promote international exchange between local New York artists and the Korean art scene.
The 2023 IYAC New York Youth Art Competition, held for the 3rd time, offers participants a chance to raise awareness of social issues through creative works, emphasize the power of art and the value of communication, and share various perspectives and opinions through art.
