  • Sometimes, we feel a certain kind of “heart” even without seeing someone face-to-face or exchanging words. A single letter, the warmth of the breeze, a glance, or even an old memory can carry someone’s sincerity to us. This theme speaks to those invisible yet undeniably real emotions and connections.
  • There are feelings that, though invisible to the eye, undeniably exist. This theme invites you to visually express the moment when such a heartfelt emotion is conveyed. Though it has no physical form, try to portray the movement of emotion—its quiet transmission—in your own unique way.

Criteria
Description
Interpretation of Theme
  • This criterion evaluates how deeply the participant understands the theme “A Heart That Came from an Unseen Place” and how uniquely they express it. More important than simply depicting a literal scene or symbol is the ability to convey invisible yet undeniable emotions or messages within the artwork.
Emotional Expression
  • This evaluates how sincerely emotions are conveyed in the artwork. The way colors are used, how the composition flows, facial expressions, and background atmosphere all contribute to how well the emotional tone is expressed.
Artistic Creativity
  • This assesses the originality of the concept and approach. Even with the same theme, a fresh perspective, an unconventional structure, or a unique expression can stand out and earn higher evaluation.
Technical Execution
  • This evaluates how well the work is organized in terms of composition, material handling, and drawing skills. It’s not about professional-level technique, but rather how thoughtfully and sincerely the participant used their chosen medium and method.
Clarity of Message
  • This looks at whether viewers can understand and emotionally connect with the message in the artwork—whether the artist’s intent is naturally conveyed through the visual language.
  • Elements such as the atmosphere, symbolism, and the connection between the title and content are also considered in this category.
