
Competition Overview
The 2023 3rd IYAC New York Youth Art Competition aims to allow youth to experience the diversity of communication by expressing their thoughts through various forms of art as they grow into members of society. Hosted by MySLide Corp., the event is held in collaboration with the GSEF Foundation, Space 776 Gallery (New York), New Jersey State Senator Gordon M. Johnson, and Palisades Park Mayor Chong Paul Kim.
Works selected in the first round will be given the opportunity to participate in an offline exhibition at Space 776 Gallery (New York). From the final selection, five 'Winner' works will receive the New Jersey State Senator's Award, and five 'Gold Medal' works will receive the Palisades Park Mayor's Award.

Eligibility: Students (including those preparing for GED) aged 13 to 19 nationwide

Award Summary: Recognizing the effort and talent of youth artists, and highly valuing creativity and artistic achievement. Winners are expected to achieve even more brilliant development in the future world of art through these awards.
- First-round selections are eligible to participate in the offline exhibition at Space 776 Gallery (New York)
- Artworks can be sold to gallery visitors during the offline exhibition (with consent)
Issuance of certificate of sale
A portion of the proceeds will be provided to the winner
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to UNICEF in the author's name
- Certificate of participation issued to all offline exhibition participants at Space 776 Gallery (New York)
- Certificate of award achievement issued to all winners
- Winning works revealed on the corporate website

Competition Description

Johnson, and Palisades Park Mayor Chong Paul Kim. Works selected in the first round will be given the opportunity to participate in an offline exhibition at Space 776 Gallery (New York). Space 776 Gallery is located in the heart of Chelsea, New York, providing an excellent collection of contemporary art. It exhibits emerging and mid-career artists working in various media, from live multimedia performance art to traditional oil paintings. The gallery hosts artists from around the world who showcase their work at local and international art fairs such as Volta New York, Volta Basel, Art Miami, Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary, and Art Busan. Artist and director Jongwon Lee opened Space 776 in Bushwick, Brooklyn, in 2013. In 2020, the gallery moved to its current location at 37-39 Clinton Street in Manhattan's Lower East Side. Space 776 also opened a location in Seoul, South Korea, in 2020, following the gallery's mission to facilitate international exchange between local New York artists and the Korean art community.
The 2023 IYAC New York Youth Art Competition, now in its third year, provides participants with the opportunity to raise awareness of social issues through creative work, emphasize the power of art and the value of communication, and share various perspectives and opinions through art.
