KAJAA: Korean Artistic Junior Adventure Art-Festival

Youth Art Competition Award-Winning Exhibition (September 4–8, 2025)

   This exhibition featured the first-round award-winning works from a youth art competition held in Korea over approximately two months, from June to August 2025. The event took place at the Special Hall of MARU Art Center in Insadong, Seoul.  
  The grand prize and gold medal winners from each category in the final round were also showcased to the public through large displays at COEX Media Tower and Parnas Media Tower in downtown Seoul, allowing citizens to experience the artworks firsthand.

 In addition, Insadong is a representative art district in Seoul where old alleyways coexist with modern exhibition spaces. It is a cultural hub that continuously attracts not only domestic and international tourists but also citizens who love art. With its concentration of traditional craft shops, galleries, and small art stores, the area naturally fosters an artistic atmosphere. Within this environment, the KAJAA exhibition offered a special experience where youth artworks could meet the public in the most accessible and intimate setting.

  The theme of the 2025 KAJAA: Korea Youth Art Festival, 'Hearts Delivered from the Unseen' seeks to express through art the emotions and warmth that connect people, though they may not be visible to the eye. 

 Created by young artists from diverse backgrounds and perspectives, this exhibition demonstrates that art is the purest form of communication that connects one heart to another. It further deepens the values that KAJAA pursues—growth and empathy through art.

Theme: 
A Heart That Came from an Unseen Place

  The theme of the 2025 KAJAA: Korea Youth Art Festival, 'Hearts Delivered from the Unseen' seeks to express through art the emotions and warmth that connect people, though they may not be visible to the eye. 

 Created by young artists from diverse backgrounds and perspectives, this exhibition demonstrates that art is the purest form of communication that connects one heart to another. It further deepens the values that KAJAA pursues—growth and empathy through art.

The 2025 KAJAA Awards Ceremony was held within the exhibition space, serving as a celebration of the passion and creativity that young artists demonstrated throughout the year. Although many outstanding works were selected for the competition, due to the large number of participants and artworks, only one Grand Prize winner and two Gold Prize winners from each category were chosen to receive awards during the ceremony. The awardees went on stage to receive their certificates and prizes, with judges and representatives from partner organizations personally presenting the honors to congratulate the young artists on their achievements. The event was attended by numerous guests, including families and visitors, and became a meaningful occasion that reaffirmed the values and spirit of KAJAA growth and communication through art amid enthusiastic applause.

  The 2024 KAJAA: Korean Youth Art Festival Awards Ceremony


  celebrated outstanding works that demonstrated exceptional creativity and expression, honoring the winners with prestigious awards. Through the judges’ in-depth evaluations and comments, participants were given valuable opportunities to grow and develop their artistic skills.

 This ceremony was envisioned as a meaningful and inspiring moment for young artists, recognizing their achievements and encouraging their future artistic endeavors.

  The “Dream Mural Experience Zone” was an interactive art program operated during the exhibition period, designed to allow visitors to freely create drawings on the themes of “Messages I want to share with children” and “Dreams I once had,” using recycled art materials. 
 High school volunteers were stationed on-site to provide guidance and operational support, helping participants immerse themselves comfortably and enjoyably in the creative process while maintaining overall order.

Award-winning works are given the opportunity to be showcased in a major gallery in Insadong, Seoul. Among them, select outstanding pieces are further featured in a special art project, presented to the public through large-scale digital displays at COEX Media Tower (10.7m × 29.6m) and Parnas Media Tower (12.3m × 26.0m), key media landmarks located near Samseong Station in Seoul. This project provides young artists with a meaningful opportunity to engage in genuine communication with the public through their works and to take their first steps forward as emerging creators.

The 2025 KAJAA: Korea Youth Art Festival accepted submissions from June 4 to August 5, 2025, and successfully concluded with enthusiastic participation and strong interest from young artists across the nation.
 A selection of award-winning works from the competition was showcased in an offline exhibition held from September 4 to September 8, 2025, at the Maru Art Center’s Grand Special Hall (approximately 300 pyeong) in Insa-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, presenting the passion and creativity of youth artists all in one place.


1. Art Competition Organization and Execution

  Youth Art Project in Collaboration with Korean Air and Dream Depot

 

  The 2025 KAJAA: Korea Youth Art Festival was a nationwide youth art project hosted by MySlide, with Korean Air and Dream Depot as official partners.


  The event was designed to encourage young participants to explore the theme “The Unseen Hearts Conveyed” through art, allowing them to express the values of emotional connection and empathy.


  KAJAA served not merely as a competition but as a comprehensive art platform encompassing creation, evaluation, exhibition, awards, and public media display. It provided a meaningful opportunity for young artists to communicate with the world through their own perspectives and to experience the transformative power of art.


2. Exhibition display of award-winning works

Large-Scale Youth Art Exhibition

 

 As one of the main programs of the 2025 KAJAA: Korea Youth Art Festival, an exhibition was held at the large special exhibition hall of the Maru Art Center in Insadong, Jongno-gu, Seoul (approximately 300 pyeong in size).


  The exhibition featured outstanding works by young artists from across the nation who passed the first screening, offering visitors a chance to experience artworks that express the emotions and thoughts drawn from the artists’ everyday lives.


 Blending profound themes with diverse perspectives, this exhibition served as a meaningful occasion where young participants could observe the world through one another’s eyes and engage in communication through art.

3. a work sale and donation program

Program to Expand Creative Experiences for Young Artists

 

  During the exhibition period, a “Artwork Sales and Donation Program” was operated, allowing young artists to sell their works and donate the proceeds.


 The revenue from sold artworks was either delivered directly to the creators or, with their consent, donated to charitable organizations. Through this program, participating youths were able to experience the meaning of sharing and social responsibility through art, establishing KAJAA as a value-driven art platform that fosters a virtuous cycle of creation–exhibition–sale–donation.


4. Transmission of excellent works of media tower

An Exhibition of Young Artists in the Heart of the City

 

   The KAJAA Youth Art Festival went beyond a traditional exhibition by launching a public art program that showcased award-winning works on large media towers in the center of Seoul.


  “An Exhibition of Young Artists in the Heart of the City” was part of this public exhibition program. Through this project, the artworks of young creators transcended the confines of gallery spaces to meet the public directly within the urban landscape, offering an expanded artistic experience that carried public value for both the participants and partner organizations.
